Call for Advisory Board Members

Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT) ignites women to lead with confidence. When women lead with confidence, their leadership will build stronger, more equitable communities that will transform the world. We want you to help us live out our mission.

 

LOTT is primarily implemented through a fellowship program designed to develop women-identified individuals’ potential to lead professionally, personally, and in their communities. The fellowship includes intensive seminars, mentor pairing, networking, and a community engagement project.

 

Current Open Positions - October 2019

Board Secretary:

The Secretary is responsible for keeping records of board actions, including overseeing the taking of minutes at all board meetings, sending out meeting announcements, distributing copies of minutes and the agenda to each board member.

 

 

Resource Development Chair:

The Resource Development Chair conducts all strategy and planning around resource development. This includes leading work with individual donors; exploring other funding opportunities such as grants; and securing in-kind donations.

 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Leaders of Today and Tomorrow is an entirely volunteer-run initiative. The LOTT Advisory Board oversees and plans all components of the fellowship and alumni/networking events bringing together women leaders throughout Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area.

 

Expectations:
 

We seek potential members who meet the following expectations:

  • Willingness to develop, maintain, and build a resource network for young women;

  • A commitment to the missions of LOTT and the Minnesota Women’s Consortium;

  • Serve on one committee: governance, programming, resource development, or executive;

  • Ability to meet the time requirement of board or committee meetings and an estimated additional 8 hours per month individually or in small groups;

  • Previous community engagement experience preferred;

  • Support LOTT financially with $100 executive committee or $50 committee member dues paid annually;

  • Fulfill term of two years.
