Jenn Hamrick

Jenn Hamrick Vander Woude is a strategic nonprofit leader, licensed social worker, and systems-change advocate with over 15 years of experience advancing equity, growing strong teams, and developing programs that center care, accountability, and collective well-being. She brings a grounded, relational approach to leadership and a deep commitment to mentoring emerging changemakers. Jenn has served in a range of executive, programmatic, and advisory roles across the nonprofit and public sectors, including Executive Director of Friends for a Nonviolent World and Integrated Health & Justice Administrator for Ramsey County. She has led initiatives focused on justice system transformation, trauma-informed leadership, community-driven policy, and cross-sector collaboration. As the founder of Jenn Hamrick LLC, she partners with mission-driven organizations to navigate transitions, design thoughtful strategies, and build values-aligned leadership capacity. Her consulting and coaching work often focuses on supporting teams through change, strengthening emotional intelligence, and embedding equity into everyday practices. She is known for blending structure with creativity, and reflection with action. Jenn holds a Master of Social Work (MSW), is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), and has completed certifications in Human Resource Management, Trauma-Effective Leadership, and Social Impact Strategy. She has developed and led statewide training programs, facilitated national conferences, and taught graduate courses in leadership and policy. She also created a robust internship program at Friends for a Nonviolent World that supported over 30 early-career professionals in building real-world advocacy and leadership skills. In her personal life, Jenn fosters rescue dogs, cares for her own beloved dog and five spirited chickens, and finds joy and balance through triathlon training. She believes movement, animals, and laughter are essential parts of the leadership journey. Jenn is honored to join the Program Committee for Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT). She is excited to contribute her experience in curriculum design, facilitation, and coaching to help build an inclusive and inspiring leadership development experience. She believes in LOTT’s mission and sees investing in emerging women leaders as one of the most powerful ways to shape a more equitable future.
