Big, exciting news about LOTT’s next chapter
We’re becoming our own nonprofit organization
At Leaders of Today and Tomorrow, we help our Fellows recognize when they’re ready to take the next step. Then we help our Fellows build the knowledge, skills, relationships, and confidence to reach their goals. Now, it’s our turn.
Today, we’re sharing thrilling news with you about LOTT’s next chapter.
On International Women’s Day (March 8, 2022), the Leaders of Today and Tomorrow Advisory Board voted to formally pursue incorporation as a standalone 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
This decision builds upon the groundwork of many Advisory Boards before us and leans into our organizational values of leadership, community, and authenticity. We started formally pondering incorporation as part of our 2017 strategic plan. Now, we have officially obtained tax-exempt status from the IRS.
This transition will bring new opportunities and greater sustainability for our program. It also creates more space for us to continue to grow and scale our impact.
We are grateful to everyone who has been a part of LOTT’s journey – including WoMN ACT for nearly ten years of fiscal sponsorship, the League of Women Voters of Minnesota for being our first home, and our community of donors and volunteers for supporting us through it all. We also appreciate all of the past LOTT Advisory Board members for the work that led to this moment.
We owe special thanks to our past Fellows and Mentors. They demonstrate how powerful LOTT can be, and have inspired us to seek out this change that will expand our program’s potential.
Thank you for being a part of LOTT’s history. If you’d like to celebrate our future with us, we encourage you to make a gift on our new donation page!
We look forward to living out this next chapter with you, continuing to build thriving communities full of strong, confident, and empowered women leaders.
Sincerely,
The Leaders of Today and Tomorrow Board
