Iryna Petrus

Iryna Petrus is a community leader, workforce development professional, grant writer, and advocate for newcomer integration and well-being. She brings more than 10 years of experience as an HR Business Partner and HR Leader in international technology organizations, combining strong people leadership with a technical foundation. Iryna holds two master's degrees: a Master's in Human Resources Management from Ukrainian Catholic University and a Master's in Electrical Engineering.


Currently, Iryna leads workforce and community initiatives at the Ukrainian American Community Center in Minnesota, where she develops partnerships, manages grant-funded programs, and supports refugee and immigrant communities. Her experience includes program development, fundraising, event leadership, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring.


Passionate about healing, wellness, and community building, Iryna is particularly interested in creating spaces that foster resilience, connection, and belonging. Her work increasingly focuses on community well-being, healing gardens, lavender-based wellness initiatives, and supporting individuals as they rebuild and thrive.


Iryna is also a proud mother of a 9-year-old daughter and calls Minnesota home.
